Peru is one of the most fascinating countries of South America. Hardly any other region offers such a variety in climatic changes and breathtaking landscapes. The desertic conditions of the pacific coast merge into the mountain range of the Andes with more than 50 snowcapped peaks with an altitude of over 16.000 feet. To the east of the Andes, the Amazon basin sprawls across almost half of the whole country with deep partly inaccessible Rainforest. Furthermore Peru counts innumerable cultural treasures and archeological sites from an impressive cultural history of the last 5.000 years.
Peru can be visited all year round. We do however recommend to book hiking and trekking tours during the dry season of April to October.
